Thank you to everybody who spared the time to enter the planing portal cabin and submit comments on the current Neptune wharf planning application on Wyke Road. The planning portal was a project initiated by AffordableWick on behalf of the Hackney Wick and Fish Island Planning and development group. See: http://affordablewick.com/the-instant-planning-portal/

25 comments were received from the four evenings in which the cabin was open to the public, this a vast contrast to the ’2′ public comments shown uploaded on the LLDC’s planning website over what was a several month long consultation period. The comments were passed onto case officer Allison Demarco, and the application has been given back to the developers Neptune Group and architects, Stock Wolstencroft,  with a range of ammendments to be made.

Here is the planning officer’s response: ” In terms of the status of the application the LLDC PPDT has reviewed and discussed consultation responses with the Applicant and expects amendments to be made to address comments made by the Local Planning Authority, stakeholders and the public. Any amended drawings and documents formally submitted will be the subject of re-consultation so anyone who has formally submitted comments to the PPDT will be re-consulted. I will ensure that the CIG are included in any re-consultation. We will also write to anyone who has submitted comments to let them know when the application will be considered by the LLDC Planning Decisions Committee. The potential committee date is likely to be late October.”
