Until Wednesday 17th July, the affordable wick cabin has morphed into an ‘instant planning portal’ for Hackney Wick and Fish Island.
The cabin will be rolled over to the site of a large re-submitted planning application which will be under scrutiny later this month. The aim is to bring the imagery of the proposed development into the public realm for all to see, and to facilitate comments which will be fed into the planning process.
The cabin has on show all the current plans of the proposed scheme, Neptune Wharf at the end of Roach Road, Fish Island will be the first of many large developments to arise on Fish Island over the following years, the scheme features up to 9 storeys of residential flats, a primary school, an artists studio complex called a ‘lofthouse’ as well as some affordable work space.
Come along to Roach Road next to the foot bridge to take a closer look, and make some comments. The cabin will be present until Wednesday 17th from 6pm – 9pm
